Responsibilities: Ensuring the sound working of our Executive Committee. Understanding the work of the association to ensure that we’re focusing on the correct areas to ensure the association moves forward for both sporting and social members alike, a significant challenge in the current economic climate.
Other information: I have been a regular in the various cricket teams at the club since 1987, played football for the third team for a number of years and also enjoy making use of the squash facilities. I have worked in the social housing sector for the last 15 years.

Responsibilities: The Treasurer's Role To ensure that the financial side of the ORA operates in a way to help and further the aims of the club.

The Treasurer's Tasks Manage the cashflow of the ORA. Look after the bank accounts and reconcile them to the ledger.

Maintain all the ledgers, paying creditors and collecting from debtors. Construct budgets.

Ensure the payroll and VAT are recorded and paid in line with HMRC rules in a timely manner.

Compile the Annual Accounts for the AGM, Companies House, and the Corporation Tax Office at HMRC

Read the section accounts in an advisory capacity, comply with external auditors when appointed.

Personal Background: I am a retired accountant. I still act as consultant for the firm I was with for the last 17 years. My other interests are history and languages. My stepson plays rugby for the club hence the connection.
